Ho-Sang, Dal Colle Get the Call

BRIDGEPORT—The New York Islanders announced on Tuesday that forwards Josh Ho-Sang and Michael Dal Colle have been emergency recalled from the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Ho-Sang, 22, collected two points (one goal, one assist) and a plus-two rating in 10 games with the Islanders earlier this season. He also had 36 points (six goals, 30 assists) in 44 games with Bridgeport this year and was named CCM/AHL Player of the Week on Feb. 17 after recording six points (four goals, two assists) in just two games from Feb. 9 - Feb. 16. He currently ranks third on the Sound Tigers in helpers and tied for fourth in points.

A Toronto native, Ho-Sang has 103 points (24 goals, 79 assists) in 144 career AHL games with the Sound Tigers. He also boasts 24 points (seven goals, 17 assists) in 53 NHL contests with the Islanders, including his NHL debut on Mar. 2, 2017 against the Dallas Stars. Ho-Sang made his professional debut with Bridgeport on Oct. 15, 2016.

Ho-Sang was selected by the Islanders in the first round (#28 overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Dal Colle has four points (two goals, two assists) and a plus-three rating in 20 games with the Islanders this season, including his first NHL goal on Jan. 17 against the New Jersey Devils. In the AHL, the 22-year-old is tied for second on the Sound Tigers in goals (18) and also has 16 assists for 34 points in just 34 games this year. He participated in the 2019 AHL All-Star Classic in Springfield, Mass. on Jan. 27-28 and finished the All-Star Challenge with one goal, one assist, and one shootout tally. Dal Colle was also named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week for Dec. 9-16 after scoring five goals, including his first pro hat trick and overtime-winner, in just three games.

A third-year forward, Dal Colle collected 24 points (seven goals, 17 assists) in 60 AHL games last season and earned his first NHL recall in January of 2018, playing four games with the Islanders, including his NHL debut in the club's 7-2 win over the New York Rangers on Jan. 13.

A native of Woodbridge, Ont., Dal Colle ranked fifth on the Sound Tigers in scoring as a rookie in 2016-17, producing 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists) in 75 games. He made his pro debut on Apr. 15, 2016 against the Portland Pirates and scored his first pro goal in just his sixth game on Oct. 21, 2016 against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Dal Colle was selected by the Islanders in the first round (No. 5 overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft.
