Katie Lou Joins Team USA for Exhibition vs. UConn

Former Husky star Katie Lou Samuelson will be on the Team USA roster
next Monday at the XL Center.

HARTFORD—When Team USA comes to Connecticut to play the UConn Huskies in an exhibition tune-up for the national team next week it will look a whole lot like a reunion game for fans at the XL Center next Monday. Katie Lou Samuelson is the latest former Husky to join the Team USA ranks it was announced on Monday.

Lou, who currently plays for the Chicago Sky in the NBA, joins Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart (both with the Seattle Storm), Tina Charles (New York Liberty) and Diana Taurasi (Phoenix Mercury) on the Team USA roster. For fans unable to attend, the game will e televised live on ESPN2 beginning at 7 p.m.

Following its exhibition vs. UConn, the U.S. will take on Louisville on Feb. 2. The team will travel to the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Belgrade, Serbia, from Feb. 6-9.
