Natisha Hiedeman (pictured) is one of two members of the Connecticut Sun to have tested positive for COVID-19. Briann January is the other. |
Additionally, precautionary measures were taken due to the Center for Disease Control’s close contact self-quarantine guidance and Briann January is the second member of the Sun who did not travel with the team to Bradenton, FL. Following the initial round of testing, January also tested positive for COVID-19.
Hiedeman and January have remained in self-isolation and are
complying with all health and safety protocols put in place by the WNBA and
CDC. The pair are expected to arrive to IMGA following a succession of two
negative tests and will begin another round of quarantine and testing once on
campus.
The Connecticut Sun and its athletes encourage everyone to
continue following state and national guidelines set in place surrounding
COVID-19. For more information on the 2020 WNBA season and the Connecticut Sun,
