The University of Connecticut Huskies head home to the Big East this season, which required a few tweaks in the schedule. |
STORRS—The University of Connecticut announced
this week that the women’s basketball team will postpone three series scheduled
for the upcoming 2020-21 season. With the Huskies rejoining the Big East
Conference after seven undefeated seasons in the American Athletic Conference, UConn
will now play 20 league games per season, up from 16 conference games in the
American.
UConn will
delay series against Cal, Oklahoma and Texas that were slated for this year. Excluding
a neutral site event for the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase Nov. 28-29, the
Huskies are currently at eight non-conference games and will look to get to
nine.
The entire
2020-21 schedule will be released at a later date. Season tickets for the
15-game home schedule (which also includes an exhibition against Fort Hays
State) are on sale at UConnTickets.com.
