Fan Sendoff Set as Sun Depart for D.C.

UNCASVILLE—Fans of the Connecticut Sun and employees of Mohegan Sun are invited to gather at the Reflection Pool in the Mohegan Sun hotel lobby for a farewell send-off on Friday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m. The team will arrive via bus at 10 a.m. to take part in the celebration before heading to Washington, D.C., for Games 1 and 2 of the WNBA Finals against the Washington Mystics.
Mohegan Sun president and general manager Ray Pineault will kick off the ceremony, followed by Sun head coach and general manager Curt Miller who will introduce the team. Connecticut Sun captain Jasmine Thomas will conclude the event.
  • WHEN: Friday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m.
  • WHERE: Reflection Pool within the Mohegan Sun hotel lobby

The Sun, the No. 2 seed throughout the playoffs, will host Games 3 (Sunday, Oct. 6, 3:30 p.m.) and 4 (Tue., Oct. 10, 8 p.m., if necessary) in the best-of-five series. The Mystics will be home for Games 1, 2 and 5 (if necessary).

  • Game 2 – Sun at Mystics, Tuesday, 10/1  at 8:00 PM on ESPN
  • Game 3 – Mystics at Sun, Sunday, 10/6 at 3:30 PM on ABC
  • Game 4 – Mystics at Sun, Tuesday, 10/8 at 8:00 PM on ESPN*
  • Game 5 – Sun at Mystics, Thursday, 10/10 at 8:00 PM on ESPN2*
