Sound Tigers Reassign Wilde to OHL

Defenseman Bode Wild has been reassigned by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers
to the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League.
BRIDGEPORT—The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the top minor league affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced that Bode Wilde has been reassigned to the Saginaw (Mich.) Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League on Monday afternoon.

The New York Islanders' 2018 second-round pick (41st overall) Wilde had two assists in 20 AHL games with the Sound Tigers after making his professional debut on Nov. 16 against Laval Rocket. The defenseman's start to the season was delayed after suffering an off-season injury that kept him sidelined during Islanders Training Camp.

Wilde has previous experience with the Spirit, having played the 2018-19 season in Saginaw, where he recorded 70 in 62 games points (19 goals, 51 assists). Wilde finished third in scoring among defenseman in the OHL during the that season and was a finalist for the OHL's Defenseman of the Year.
